Anyone around??

General Questions

Actually, I pride myself on doing only as much or as little as my clients want. I thought I had expressed that to you previously. I hope from here on out you won't assume as much as you did. Just because I feel that crochet can be helpful in SOME situations for SOME people, doesn't mean I like to force it on those who aren't interested.

Lexi, I would LOVE to help you with your locks. You can contact me via private message here OR you can reach me by email at thedreadqueen@yahoo.com OR you can contact me through my website at http://www.thedreadqueen.com . Even if you decide you don't want me to work on your locks personally, please don't hesitate to contact me with ANY and all questions you may have. I love answering questions. :-)

Blessings

u are best off going natural or twist and rip your own dreads

anyone on facebook help me out with this crazy "salt lady"

Dread Products

They're still going on about how the water 'changing color' can be from anything -- the type of water (hard, soft, city, well, etc.), what you use to clean your sink with, etc. It's so frustrating. Now KJC is saying that they are getting so much out of their dreads (after using exclusively DHHQ soap) because when you use it you are specifically targeting the roots and scalp and not the body of the dread, so that people should soak with diluted DHHQ soap (cancer-water) and will get the same results.

Yes, Betsy's locks are about 8 months old. That photo that 'resembles' me IS me, LOL. Her and I met two times. Something didn't seem quite right about her to me, but she is definitely 'brainwashed', like Jenn said. I am trying to remain civil with her (since I don't want her bad-talking me to potential clients/customers), but she is a little 'psychotic' when it comes to defending DHHQ/KJC. Jenn's story is pretty much my story with her. We met (online) bonded over dreadlocks, met in person, and were both sponsored members. I used to DAILY (at LEAST) check the facebook wall on the DHHQ page to help people out -- giving out advice that didn't factor someone's paycheck into it, but it was made clear to me that I was "offending" a lot of people and that my kind of advice was not welcome. So, I don't frequent the page as much as I did. Betsy pretty much dumped me as a friend when I dumped DHHQ, too. It's a dramatic and frustrating tale.It took me 3-6 months to realize that DHHQ was a greedy, capitalistic company interested only in making money, not helping people or giving them useable, unbiased advice. So I am/have been moving on. I may have lost a few friends, but I gained over 1,000 more when I switched 'allegiances' (for lack of a better term).(

DreadHeadHQ & Neglect

Dreading Methods

KJC didn't write that reply that someone copied and pasted into this thread. It was one of the sponsored members who wrote that.IMHO it's conceivable that there are some people with natural locks who may not have realized there were other options available and were 'jealous' of her manicured locks. However, I definitely DON'T think it's the norm for people with natural locks to regret the decision to go product-free.... at all.

DreadHeadHQ & Neglect

Dreading Methods

I wanted to share this wall post on the DHHQ Facebook wall to show what kind of misinformation and misUNDERstanding is out there regarding the patience/freeform/organic/"neglect" method: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?# !/walltowall.php?id=1158871717&banter_id=1627262302&ref=nf

loose roots

Dread Maintenance

There are, in theory, some ways to help loose hair (new growth) at the roots to lock up. A lot of people feel it can be harsh and is unnecessary since it WILL lock up on its own in time. Check out this page: http://www.dreadlockssite.com/page/root-rubbing-myths-and

You know, SE, that's not at all a bad idea, LOL. A 'Dreadlock Repair Kit'.... I like it. :-) I'm going to pass that on!
