im getting a bunch of dread beads cheap

General Talk

i'm talking about glass beads. i've got a bone, clay, wood and i think i just want one glass for now. i was just givin bird a heads up since she couldnt find beads around Portland. but then i talked to the guy more and he needs some plumbing work so we're gonna make a trade and i might get paid as well. good luck with the beads they look super cool!!! soaringeagle said:
lets put it this way 1$ pays for the bead and shipping (i think) and 2$ gives a dollar to the site u dont gotta pay 10 dollars a bead but u can pay anything over a buck or so..hows that for a deal?

make an offer.. ;)

im getting a bunch of dread beads cheap

General Talk

hey i'm up at govy working at HCSC for the summer, i was down in sandy and talked to the guy at irie tribe and he said he'd blow glass beads for like $10 but didnt have any at the time. i know its not in portland but its not too far! Bird said:
I'd pay anything within reason for a cool bead or two! I'd love to be able to find some awesome beads like this in bulk, but thus far i haven't been able to find a damn thing in Portland (weird, i know).

Anyways, once you get them, let me know! My dreads are pretty small. about the diameter of a pencil or some smaller.

Favorite Place to live...

Alternative Lifestyles and Subcultures

funny that you say that. i made 4 trips to summit county last year. and i'm goin to school in lincoln NE. i really wasnt a big fan of colorado for what i saw. i like fort collins but not the mountain towns near the ski towns where i spent my time. it's dry, ritzy, crowded, the snow isnt that great, and i found the general ski hill atmosphere isnt nearly as friendly as the northwest. i just didnt feel motivated to ride hard cause it just didnt feel right.

Favorite Place to live...

Alternative Lifestyles and Subcultures

ive grown up 40 miles north of CDA and let me just say its amazing!!! id warn you its not always easy to find work up there, it can be an expensive place to live but i love it. some surrounding areas are alot cheaper. take a trip, check it out if you can. ive spent a bit of time around portland too. mostly up around mt hood but only for summer snowboarding trips. also a very beautiful area. colorado is impressive, rugged country but i dont ever want to live there. too many people, its high and very dry. i feel like i get a friendlier vibe overall in the northwest, thats where i intend to spend the rest of my life. hope that helps

tea tree oil and... what else should i use

Dread Maintenance

i just went to the farmers market yesterday and got a new soap with tea tree oil in it. i gotta say i was extremely pleased with my purchase (he said it also had some clay in it and i dont remember how else he said they made em...). i had a wedding to go to so i washed my hair and took off. even after my hair dried out i could still faintly smell the tea tree oil all day and it was great. i've done a little research about what oils to use and stuff but i still dont know much about it. i've seen references to a thread that covers that stuff in depth but i havent found it yet. if someone could post a link to it that'd be awesome.

thats kinda awesome! a pain but i doubt it's possible to stay mad at him. i definitely dont have any lil ones yet. little boys are so destructive. i used to be one... i cant count all the things we destroyed growing up, watch out lol. i got blessed with a kid sister and it's been great. cant wait to go home and see her in a week!(i guess she's 12 now, growing up fast) Alicia said:
Thanks to my son..who loves pulling keys off my laptops keyboard..I am missing my capslock key, both shifts, the tab, the b, the v, and the z keys.Ohh..AND the space bar key!!! So I have to press the little tiny buttons underneath where the keys once were. It sucks! And causes alot of errors. Usually it takes me quite awhile to type something out correctly haha. Funny discussion :)

that's pretty much true! i mean i wasnt freaking out about it, just noticing some things(i couldnt sleep last night SE). i never take the time to hit the shift key to make my i an "I" and many other details. i just think its easier to take material seriously when it's written well. thats all.think about it, if youre used to using lots of slang and just not giving a shit about how you write it'd be more likely to slip up writing something when it matters. i mean it's not like i'm citing resources for any info i use or referring to myself as "this researcher" like i would for my professors! You read by recognizing only the first and last letter and the number of characters anyway. hehe... I agree that grammar and punctuation are important but I don't feel that it's really all that necessary to portray an idea intelligently. I'd say most people on the interwebs are more comfortable with some spelling mistakes and internet slang than properly written english.

Of course, I sure as hell wouldn't sign any kind of contract that I notice spelling mistakes in. lol

reply to everyone at once:ian, yes! its that easy! our computers almost try to do it for us, even our phones (except t9 can be very wrong sometime haha) i hate when people use number and stuff but that was funnySE i agree with that completely. correct spelling is useful for multiple reasons on both the transmitting and receiving side of information. on the other hand i realize there are plenty of people on here who's first language is not english. but i think many of them try harder or at least use the language to the best of their understanding. i applaud that!btw i read your pig ate some keys off your keyboard?? that's pretty funny.jack, your attitude on the subject is different than mine. sure it can add creativity in some situations but your examples simply express carelessness. some words i just spell differently because i simply like how they look at the time like "skool, werk ect..." (maybe even you can sound those too(or two, i forget...) out).
