General Questions

Hey dreadies, me and my friend were talking bout our dreads 2day, hes african american and im white so we do ours a tad diff lol but yea he said my dreads looked a lil flat. there not rounded like his are, i kno i shouldnt expect it 2 be round rite yet but im jus wonderin if theres anybody out there that have i guess "flat" lookin dreads and if they jus take care of themselves cuz of the hairs over time or if they grow flat they stay flat. i dont do anything to my dreads at all. wash and thats all, help me out dreadies cuz i really dont wanna end up lookin like this guy....

To congo or not 2 congo...thats my question

General Talk

It weird, i have oily hair thats naturally tough to dread in the first place but i always find myself pulling apart congos. ill seperate it than literally 3 days later its back it with that same dread lol. I was thinking about just letting it do its thing and not bother seperating anymore. I already have 2 congos or 2 dreads already, should i let em go? lemme know what yall think.... happy dreadin

How can I clean out (natural head)oil from my baby dreads?

Dread Maintenance

Hey i got oily hair also so imma just share what i do lol1. wash your hair with only baking soda as ive read that the acv is kinda like a conditionor. Baking soda by itself will dry it a bit more.2.Maybe wait a week or week n a half b4 yoy thouroughly wash, cuz the more u wash the more oil produces.3. I spray with sea salt after every shower4. Try and hit up the beach as much as you can(twice a month or so), all that salt water is an oily dreadheads kryponite lol itll dry it right out...and last try not to touch your dreads with your fingers 2 much, i know its tough 2 keep from em but your oils from your fingertips will get em sometimes 2. hope i could help ya sum... happy dreadin

Dread shampoo

General Questions

Hey dreadies. So i been washing my hair with the bakin soda acv rinse for a while but i wanted 2 try for a shampoo. My hairs naturally kinda oily since momma is italian/mexican mix. Anyways i was wonderin what shampoo works best and im stuck between DR bronners and DHHQ shampoo. I kno nobody likes dreadhead but i see alot of ppl say there shampoo works. So a lil help would be appreciated and if anybody has used both and likes one better than the other let me kno how it went. Thanx dreadheads
