Dreading Methods
SE: did that too, but they lost lost the crocheted look around half a year ago. Havent done anything too them since i discovered this forum, so about 2-3 months of "naturalizing"?

I did some felting, but not that much. I have some weak sections that probalby happend because of felting, but overall they look and feel healthy. I think i could avtually hang in them from hooks in the celing. :P

SE's right. I dont have much experience with flesh turning necrotic myself, but the BME wars strongly about lobes turning necrotic. The scary thing about it is that it can spread to the rest of the ear. There's a reason why doctors amputates limbs that have gone too far into necrosia.

Well, if they feel alright... Still, if they were healthy, they wouldn't be blue. I'd have them checked by a doctor or a proffesional piercer if i were you, just to be shure. You can never be too carefull ya know. anthony williams said:

Hm. still, it would probably look sort of bumpy under a wig. like, the head looking much bigger than it actually is. :P

Is it even possible to wear wigs when you have dreads? i don't know about the rest of you, but i can barely get my motorcycle helmet on, not to mention a wig.

Happens all the time with me. Me and some friends sometimes end up in a tickeling fight, and everyone ends up getting smacked down by my dreadlocks. And, whenever someone around me have a webcam conversation, i sneak up behind the camera and dangle the dreads before it. Cthulhu attack! >:PAnd when i was to a Dimmu Borgir concert last year, my headbanging (or should i call it dreadbanging? it feels totaly different than headbanging with normal hair) made people pull away beacause they hit them so hard :P

Now, lets be fair. not everyone likes bumps forming all over their dreadlocks, and should be allowed to remove them if they want to. You may see it as wanting to be uniform, but its more about wanting the dreads to look they way you want them too. If someone wants more smooth dreads, let them have them. No need to be condescending about it.It makes you no better than the people who swears to wax and looks down on natural dreads.
