Help! Save My Dreads

I have had my locks for a year now and it seems that some of them are coming out at the tips. I haven't changed anything and I can't see to understand why they are doing this now. Any advice?

Got a big loc problem! Help now.

Help! Save My Dreads

It doesn't smell when wet and I use Dr. Bonner's castil soap. I think it might just be buildup. I'm gonna do another wash and rinse with acv. I hope that will fix it. If not I guess I'm gonna be grey cause I don't wanna start my locs all over.

Help! Save My Dreads

I am doing it completely natural. I have been locking for almost 2 years and this has never happened. So I'm a little puzzled

the 1st question is what are you using to loc your dreads into place?
There is a very strong possibility that if you are not Locing natural then whatever product that your using has a WAX base to it.
Which if that is the case, and then you will be fine it will fade with very little heat, or you can just wrap it up for a few hours with a head scarf and you will see the change.
Good luck and remember natural Dreading is the best.

looking for some help with new dreads

Introduce Yourself

Just washed using the baking soda and then an ACV rinse, not too much though. Head feels great and the dreads are looking good. Should I re-twist now?

just the info I was looking for, thanks guys. What's a good amount of ACV to use? Do I dilute it with water first or do I just pour It right on?

thanks I'm getting rid of the rubber bands asap. thanks for the advice. Ivan said:
ditch the rubberbands for sure bro. i made the mistake in leaving them in and once i backcombed, i had to first comb out all this nasty shit and clumps of pulled out hair (yea the rubberbands pull a lot of hair out at the root as it grows). so i was combing out balls of hair and nasty residue: probably dirt and grease build-up. but i gave myself a good washing and it all came out. now i'm rubberband-free and it's so much better and cleaner too. good luck with your method and hope the advice helped.
