Yes, ignorance is bliss inyour family. People love to stereotype other races, religions, etc. Does your brother really knows the texture of blacks,etc? I have seen people with lighter skin with thick coarse hair, in fact ultra kinky.Keep dreaddy and stay happy. Forget people stay dreaddy!
Hold your head way high and rock your dreads! Some of the kids are jealous of you because you are thinking outside of the box! Uniqueness equates to beauty in my book. Ignore them and hold your ground! Dreads are beautiful!

My folks taught me to love all and judge a person by their character, white, black, etc. I am so thankful to God that my parents taught me right. Racism begins at home (grandparents, friends, cousins, tv, etc)in my opinion.

People have been dreading their hair for thousands of years--lot of colors. It doesnt matter who you are and where you come from--style your hair in the way you want! That guy is nutz and you can only feel sorry for him. Obviously, he has a serious mental problem. I love ya soaringeagle!
This person is just as ignorant as the other bigots. All people can get their hair dreaded regardless of color, culture, location, etc. i love dreads on all people, regardless of racial background. The best thing to do is ignore this person. Do what you want to doregardless of what people will say about you..
