Introduce Yourself

my name is harry from rainy old England (woot? :\ )Ive wanted dreads since i was young and i saw a guy with a mass of red dreads getting on a train in front of me.I asked my mum if i could get dreads (i was like ten) and she said, 'when your 18 love.'Oh did she get a surprise when i came home the day after my 18th with dreads sticking out in every direction.they are pretty damn short at the moment i gotta say, but i was so eager to get them and i couldnt wait for my hair to grow longer.i must say, (im so sorry) i started mine with wax (but only because that was the way i was told to do it......but after a week using it i realised exactly what i was doing, and threw my wax in the bin :)i realy like the knotty boy shampoo bar though, smells great.my only quiver (great word) with my dreads is that there is a lot of loose hair on the back of my head were i cant quite see it, and wonder what the best method of getting it dreaded back up is?

not fully dreaded...

Dreadlock Styles and Dread Styling

yo man, i have to agree, alothough i must say im a culprit myself.it was a previous stlye i have before the choice to make started, i have an undercut on one side, which back in the day i had pretty bad emo hair (glad those days have past) and i didnt have enough hair there to dread n because it wasnt getting washed as much that hair was just getting realy damn greasy and horid, so ive just kept getting rid of it, but the rest of the dreads on that side sorta cover it so its not all bad anthony williams said:
right on bro, yeah ive seen the style of dreadhawk your talkin about and i agree totally, that looks pretty dope! i just meant the ones ive seen with like dreaded tops and shaved sides. ugh. lol! but true that friend, to each their own :)

i think it would look kind of weird if it were just those specific sections dreaded only, but to each his own. i did however see a video on youtube that showed a tutorial on how to style a dreadhawk with a full head of dreads though and it looks pretty sick to be honest. i'm planning on trying it out once mine are fully mature and maneuverable.
here's the link if you're interested:
