[But i see locked peeps in all kind of jobs here and it is completely illegal to discriminate against people for their appearance when hiring.]not in america. you can't discriminate against people based on their race, religion, etc, but an employer is able to turn you down if your appearance doesn't fit into their dress code.

i use a tapestry needle to sew in loose hairs. i use a crochet hook very sparingly. i don't do it very often to my hair, but i do dread work on others who seek my services. when done properly, dread maintenance can still look natural and not overworked.

ever been offered money to cut your dreads? how much would be enough

after 3 days of dreading, i'd take the $1k, brush them out, and start over again. i honestly think everyone has their price, but it might not always be monetary.
