Should I be concerned?

Introduce Yourself

Thanks for all the replys guys! This is really helping. My hair does grow really fast and I have to wear a hat a work so perhaps the new growth jus isn't gettin enough movement time! Guess it is what it is which is how it should be. Thanks again!

Should I be concerned?

Introduce Yourself

Well I've had the loops and zig zags the whole time but I heard they get sucked in eventually as the dreads mature but I thought they would be doing that by now. They've jus never gone away. Not that theyr a problem bc I really don't mind um but the roots are more my concern

Well I started the neglect method about two urs ago but after 6 months no combing and no knots I decided to back comb. I started with the wax the first few days but realized my mistake and immediately got rid of most of it fairly easily. Now I wash once a week with diluted bronners and blow dry and seperate. That's all

I've had my dreads for almost two years now. They still have loops lumps and zig zags. Is this normal? Also my roots are becoming less locked. Should I be concerned

Palm Rolling Dreads?

Dread Maintenance

For me it jus helps them stay seperate so congos don't form. When they all go in one direction the loose hairs don't get caught in other dreads as easily.

Palm Rolling Dreads?

Dread Maintenance

I feel like after washing them it's good because it keeps um goin in the same direction but other than that...yep...useless :)

Palm Rolling Dreads?

Dread Maintenance

Ok buddy lemme tell you. There is a bunch of talk about what "to do" and "not to do" . My advice is see what works for you. All hair and dreadies are different. I started palm rolling mine the day they were born. What that did for me is keep them consistently twisting in the same direction. However they lock and loop whenever they want.. Loops come and go no matter if you palm roll or not, so jus do a week trial and see what YOUR dreads wanna do :)
