The Three Month Dread
Introduce Yourself
When I was about 6 weeks into my dreads I thought they looked terrible, I hated the way it felt on my head and they seemed to be returning to the 'I hate you and you can't make me do anything' phase that my undreaded hair was constantly in. I considered crocheting (I know, I know, but I didn't do it.) I also thought about just brushing it out. Thankfully, I stuck it out and now I'm loving how they look. They feel much better and I'm very happy that I stuck it out. It might seem bad now, but it gets better. Mine is currently very loopy and crazy, there are pictures on my page. The no mirror thing is a brilliant idea, however that would never have worked for me, as I need something to see my make-up in the morning haha. But I did use a small little mirror instead of my larger one, and I only looked at my hair in detail every few days to check for congos... I've now realized I'm rambling, but anyway, my point is it does get better, and all the weirdness is just making your dreads unique from everyone else. :D
