Advice on natural method

Hi guy's i have had dreads for just over 3yrs now, and i have always waxed them and back combed them and i amhopingfor advice on starting the natural method? Just i need them to betidyandpresentablefor work, work hired me with dreads and theyaren'tto fussed but they must be tidy.
Any advise would be mint, i currently use:
Knotty boy wax
Knotty boy shampoo
Back combing
