dreadlock shampoo dragonblood vs knotty boy bar

Dread Maintenance

ok people. i know some of you dont like the knotty boy brand and i can totally understand that but i want a fare opinion on this. ive used the dragonblood dreadlock shampoo and for some way it does not work out for my hair and scalp. i know most people find them fantastic and im sure they are but they just dont work for me, seems to leave some kind of residue. when i went to spain though i used it for a week and it worked fantastic but now im back in sweden and looking for a shampoo for this condition. so, how is the knotty boy shampoo bar?

i have a very sensitive scalp and i find it very hard to find a shampoo that suits me. i also tried the bs wash from the recipie here on this site but it just feels better to use a bar, dont ask why haha :) please feel free to leave your opinion and take care fellow compassions.

Dread Shampoos Vs Baking soda wash

Dread Maintenance

first i used hot water but then i switched to cold water cause it seemed to help a little bit, but after going a month with the bars i now try the bs rinse, but my hair still feels kinda gross and it still leaves me with dandruff even though i do exactly as told from this site, but thanks for a really good site with alot of info :)

sadhus and theis dreadlocks

Dreading Methods

hey! ive read alot about hinduism and the holy men called sadhus (theres so many different names baba, yogi etc). Ive seen alot of documentaries but theres one thing i cant seem to find. What is the "ritual" behind their dreads?i know it brings them closer to theis god and that its a holy thing. I saw a documentary called naked in ashes where a boy got initiated, they shaved his head and throw the hair in the Ganges. But what then, do they just start growing their hair and sooner or later it becomes dreadlocks? Im curious to know what they "do" to theyr dreads (exept from swiming in the Ganges and rubbing ashes in their hair) If anyone knows anything it would be fun to know, cause ive never seen nicer dreads than on the sadhus. And one more question, if anyone knows, why do some sadhus have dreads while other dont? Maby it depends on what "group" they close to. Would be fun with some facts :) Take care everyone, peace
