Like Baba Fats said, just explain to her that it takes a while. Besides what's already been suggested, there's not a lot you can do to speed up the process, so just take the negative comments in stride, knowing that they'll be mature and awesome-looking dreadlocks one day.

so my mom liked my hair at the start,wich was december 8th. and not shes tellin me i need to cut my hair because its not doing anything!then she hit me with "mostly all the hair in the back is straight and to fine to get knotted" and that is the only part of my hair that hasnt done anything so this is true. whats something i can do to make the back of my head start to section ond lock more!? its killin me lol

one of my dreads have a small loop coming out and it makes me kind of excited! lol
but i am using the locking gel from the dreadlocks shampoo site you reffered me too,it has seemed to make my locks tighter
