Dying my 5+ month old dreads...henna?

General Questions

Hello, so I did read through some of the otherdiscussionson dying dreads. It seems like chemical box dyes can cause the dreads to loosen. Does that apply to my dreads at 5months? they do still have a few soft spots. Should I use henna and does anyone know a specific place to get this? My hair is for the most part untreated. The last time I dyed it was probably over 1.5 yrs ago.

Hey everyone, I'm very excited to have finally joined! My dreads are just over 5 months old. I used the backcombing method with no products. I've had such a great experience so far!!! I'm loving the experience of seeing other peoples dreadlocks and their journeys also!
