Audra's TnR Timeline

Member Journals and Timelines

I'm at about 3.5 months currently. I started with TnR then let them do what they want. I was with Dr. Bronners and do AVC & BS occasionally. Most of my dreads are pretty decent near the roots, but the rest of the length is just loose and straight. Some roots are a bit messy. I have a lot of loops and random loose hair. I have around 42 dreads give or take. I'm worried some won't be as thick as I would like, how long should I wait before I try to combine a few?

How long was it until it started filling in? Also, I was looking at a friends dreads that are about 10 years I think. When he pulled is dreads away and showed me the back of his head t made me feel better about it. It looks similar just filled in.

I'll probably go through and fix random ones that didn't turn out so well. But I'm gunna test it and wait a couple days between them. See the differences it makes.

Okay thanks! I will quit doing that. I ended up fixing one of the front dreads and it automatically filled an area I wasn't happy with.

They are all a few days to a week old. I have only showered once since completing them. I trn the ends slightly. I haven't washed them yet, but I am planning on doing the baking soda method.

I think I will try to fix one that is in the front, not happy with it. And just wearing a bandana to hide some of the gaps in the front while I am out of the house. And then just let it down at home. See if in a few weeks if they are any looser
.

When my hair is down, right down the middle of my head is sparse also. This might be the way I was holding the hair to tnr. But with the right side being so empty, should I just go ahead and redo them now while it's early? Or just wait and see what happens?

Here are my finished dreads. My left side looks good, and then the right side looks so sparse! But I have equal number of dreads. Some are shaped slightly awkward. I did these myself with no one around to help.

I finished my head, I ended up with 28 dreads. Most people seem to have double this. Is my head small? My sections all about inch square or less.

The dreads are about pinky size average after tnr is done.. But a decent mix of bigger and smaller also.
