Audra's TnR Timeline

I'm at about 3.5 months currently. I started with TnR then let them do what they want. I was with Dr. Bronners and do AVC & BS occasionally. Most of my dreads are pretty decent near the roots, but the rest of the length is just loose and straight. Some roots are a bit messy. I have a lot of loops and random loose hair. I have around 42 dreads give or take. I'm worried some won't be as thick as I would like, how long should I wait before I try to combine a few?

Just give them time, that's all they need.

And don't compare your own progress with other people's progress.

All of our dreads develop differently and at their own pace, even some on your head might mature sooner than others.

Some people have mature dreads in no-time, and some, like me, have stopped combing over 13 months ago, and don't have them yet.

They will be mature when they are ready to be so, it's all good. :D

they look great and i would wait till at least 10 or 12 months in to combine them some look like they will be reasonably thick

and you dont have to try to combine them they will combine themselves if you dont prevent them from combining
