Is it normal for the hair at the nape of your neck to not want to stay into dreadlocks? And also the hair at the sides of my head, like just above my ear, just won't stay in dreads. Will they eventually start dreading? I did notice that these sections of hair seem very soft and feel almost moisturized.
Thank you!
I have naturally curly/wavy hair and my dreadlocks that I've made by sectioning and then TnR are very small. They are curly dreads though. If dreadlocks are made bigger/fatter, will this weight down the dread and make it not so curly?
Holy moly!!!! For real?? Ahhhh whoa am I glad I posted this then. Thank you so much Will do that tonight.
So I've been washing my hair with baking soda/water/essential oil mix. I'm loving how clean my scalp feels afterward BUT I'm experiencing bad dandruff and also looks like sores on my scalp. I make the baking soda into a paste and then rub it on my scalp.. I'm thinking friction will remove dirt and dandruff. And then I rinse it. But am I suppose to be massaging my scalp? Or just pouring the BS mixture over my head and leaving it, and then rinsing? And will apple cider vinegar help with the dandruff? And that too, do I just pour it onto my head and let it sit? I know these questions are probably answered somwhere in the forum but my internet connection is unbelievably slow right now so it takes forever to open up forum posts.
Thank you
And did you do this every second day or in consecutive days? And did you still wash your hair with baking soda or shampoo on those days? Thanks

ok get a spray bottle and fill a bit less than half with apple cider vinegar and and then if you have it (not vital) a few squirts of witch hazel and dilute with water and shake it up, then pretty much drench your whole head with the stuff and wrap it up..leave it on for 15 or 20 minutes and then rinse youre hair out in the shower..it worked for me! mine was suuuper bad too. ive done that about 4 times now and it completely lifts the dandruff out hope this helps!
You know, that definitely makes sense. I'm already a vegan and eat gluten free because of an intolerance. but I eat ALOT of sugar. I will cut it out and see, thanks for bringing it up
Can we wash with salt water instead of baking soda water? This baking soda soak is just not working with the dandruff. ACV, cold water, essential oils. Ive been getting terrible dandruff for the pst month. I wonder if laying off the baking soda would help? Or maybe massaging the scalp while the baking soda is on your scalp and hair would help?
