Is it gross to not wash your dreads after sweating?

I wash mine when ever I feel like (about every 3 days) what harm will you do? It is them same hair you had before, just like any hair, you don't want to strip it of all natural oils, so go light on the shampoo, if you are washing a lot. If your dreads are not locked up completely, it will just mean you will lock up tight later than if you hadn't washed daily, but that being said, clean hair locks up better than dirty hair, I am just saying in the early months of new dreads, there is more work keeping them from finding a another dread to join in with. hope this helps everyone has there own way of doing things that is just mine. Thanks for writing this. I never palmed rolled or retwisted my dreads ever, So happy find they just grew into dreads with no help from me, the first inch is soft and easy to wash,then they lock up tight right after that, but this is not talked about much, and all the newbies need to be told, keep your hands out of your hair, it will dread.
