I normally eithr pour the liquid shampoo if diluted on my scalp or pour some on my hands then rub them a little bit and apply to my scalp and dreads. Yes I do put the soap all over my hair but on the dreads i just squeeze gently together, then scalp i hit it like if it was itching, i try not to go to strong on the roots tho.

Also I havent used those soaps but Dr. B doesnt leave my head itchy. The pepermint tingles the most, then the lavender from thte three I have used. The last one is tea tree.

My hairs not dreading up :(

Hello, perhaps you could just wear a tam when you are around them. It would cover your hair and look nice. You could also just get it on a pony tail to get most of the hair out of the view. I have been going through similar things. After 5 months they don't say anything, and when they do I just stop them before they finish, say no and they stop "recommending me to cut my hair"

Maybe you didn't know how often he showered. Besides, after sex I like to go clean up at least. It doesn't have to be right away but it has to be done.

I and most likely everyone in my country shower two times per day, we use soap everywhere not just were it stinks or has visible dirt.

Coming to this country has reduced that to once per day unless i get too dirty, then when it is hot twice or more per day.

The natives from my land believed that sweat caused weakness so they would keep themselves very clean. Whether that is the source or just the perpetual summer of my island we tend to wash our bodiesminimumtwice per day because of the sweat, to refresh the body and whatever other good things that could come up from cleaning the body.

I have dated women from the U.S. and even procreated with two. One of then back then and even know I can still smell when she gets excited down there, when it has been too long since she took a shower, etc. I do not have a great sense of smell but I would recommend to everyone to at least shower once per day. No need to wash your hairevery timeyou shower.

While I do not like the view most people from this country has on theirhygiene I respect them and regardless of the odor I do not say anything about it unless we are close.

A more subtle way would be to point them tot he dreadeducation guide. It is a nice read. Not too long. I did it over my phone screen so from a computer it should be more easy.

That way they will know what they might be doing wrong and get good info at the same time without having a bunch of at that moment strangers telling you how bad your choice was and to fix fix fix.

Just a suggestion.

I totally agree with Taye. I have seen that. Communication can be a complex thing, specially when it is only in writing.

I agree, before I joined the forums I was reading and some comments did felt like they were attacking, I have also read bad reviews of the site because anything other than neglect was viewed as negatived and so the site name should change to natural locks or something like that so people know that is you are not free-forming then this is not the site for you.

Now this is out of my memory and I did not bother to try to remember who said or when or if the post is still there but despite all that I joined and regardless of what everyone says I just listen o their advice and still do what i want with my hair. So this goes for anyone that might feel offended int he past or in the future, you do not have to do anything that anyone here or elsewhere tells you to do. You take the information and do whatever you want with it. That should take any pressure you might feel away.
