Hemp vs Wool?

Dread Products

Okay thanks guys! That's really interesting SE I'd heard whisperings of it having something to do with static but the way you've explained it makes a lot of sense. I probably will get myself a hemp hat/tam, they all look too good to resist!

Hemp vs Wool?

Dread Products

Hey all, I know that wool tams are good for winterwear as they help lock up loose hairs but what do you guys know of hemp? I've heard that it can be either very soft or quite scratchy depending on what it's combined with so I was wondering if it would make an adequate replacement for wool. And it's wonderful environmentally and economically :)

Peace and love to all of you guys :) <3

Progress...

dready interests

No not to do with my locks, although they have been doing quite well. Today for the first time in my life I was standing up and I touched my toes with my legs perfectly straight. Now to all of you yogis out there I know this may sound ridiculousbut is a massive milestone for me . In my childhood my dad was always deployed with the army and my mother worked long hourssso naturally, the TV became my new best friend seeing as I didn't have any real friends. I sat in a beanbag playing video games pretty much from when I woke up until I went to sleep not including school and as such ruined my fitness and flexibility. I was blessed with a ridiculously fast metabolism so even eating junk food constantly and doing literally no physical activity I managed not to become overweight but I might as well have been. Over the past few years I've been improving my diet and about 8 months ago I began skateboarding. Even though I'm not skating as much now as I was before, I've replaced it with going on hikes and in the past few weeks I have been attempting to get nto yoga. It used to hurt for me to sit on the floor with my legs out in front of me and sitting up straight, I couldn't even reach my shins without being in serious pain. I just thought I'd share this with you and thank you all for inspiring me to take me health and life into my own hands . peace and love to you all

I understand it can be a tad frustrating hearing the same thing over and over but I'm with Tim and Nicole on this one, the whole point of this site is to help out people that ask for help and that's exactly what this thread is for so just take the anger elsewhere.Peace

shaking

Dread Maintenance

Shaking in what way? Like shaking your head like a wet dog or picking up a dread and 'jiggling' it?

My dready inspirations

General Talk

I'm just making this post to thank and give props to all of the people that have inspired me with their awesome dreads, both famous and site members, and I think it'd be cool if everyone posted their inspirations so that these guys knew that all of their patience and diligence has rewarded them with dreads worthy of praise. My famous inspirations are: Lewis Marnell, John butler (when he had them), Bob Marley (of course) and Randy Blythe. Now, the true heroes, the site members whose awesome dreads have kept me going through the crazy days and criticism: Siding Eagle, your advice and dreads have made me the happiest I've ever been both with my hair and in general, Nature (Dan Farella), your dreads are seriously awesome and I love pretty much everything on your YouTube channel, Urs Uz, your photos are really cool and you've got great dreads and Scrojira, hearing your recent story about your stay decision to cut your dreads has shown me that even in the hardest of circumstances, there are ways to come through and use them to your advantage and all of the countless others whose names have escaped me, thank you all for being so great and offering such wonderful advice and having awesome dreads for me to imagine myself one day owning ;) peace and love for all
