Frizzy dreads

Dread Maintenance

My dreads aren't even a week old so I'm sure it's part of the process but my dreads are very frizzy. Anything I can do to help em?

Dread Maintenance

I just dreaded my hair two days ago, just the underneath part of it though. So the top of my hair is still undreaded. I did the twist and rip method because I'd prefer not to use any wax in my hair, plus where I live Is in BFE and can't find anything for dreadlocks. I'm curious as to many things. I want to wash my hair, but how to wash the dreads the right way. I use frutis shampoo which I've been told as long as you're gentle with new dreads, it shouldn't matter as long as you don't over do it. I've also been told soaking them in salt water is good as well. It's been three days since I've washed my hair and I'm wondering if I should just not wash the dreads and just wash the top part of my hair that isn't dreaded. But I've also been told that washing my dreads now would help them start locking up quicker. Another question I have is rubber bands. I have rubber bands at the ends for a day now because they were comingloose. Bad or no? I've been told it's good to leave them in until they start locking up. I just want as much advice as possible, and preferably cheap remedies or shampoo. Also, I try to keep my dreads separated from my undreaded hair as well at night, so they don't get matted together. Is that the best thing to do? or just let it do it's own thing?Everyone does it different so I want the best advice and I want to make sure I know how to keep them healthy, clean, and looking beautiful :) any advice and tips would be amazing!
