How to cope with all the negativity?

Dreadlocks Journey Emotional Support

Completely agree with knotlady, you're the only person you need to improve your self image. Your dreads will help you gain confidence in ways I can't describe. It gets better brother.

I've heard lemon juice isn't good for dreads, it eats away at something or other in your hair. Yes you can use ESSENTIAL OILS not say olive oil products morracian oil nothing you'd find at a salon would be good.. go to your local health store and pick out your favorite 100% pure essential oil. Nag champa peppermint tea tree. Rosemary (which all have positive effects on your hair/body) to name a few.As for the extentions, I don't know much about them. I don't like them but some do.Good luck and welcome!

Heavy Heart :(

Life Issues Facing Dreads

Mine also made fun of my fuzzy baby dreads in the first two weeks.. I bet in a couple months when theyre well on the way and you start getting compliments left and right he will feel/behave differently. Mine did. Feel better sister, people are always gonna be judgmental and cruel, let it in one ear and out the other.

We've got the same hair type, speaking from my own experiences it will dread up very quick, especially if youtake the natural route :] crocheting is very harmful and leads to balding!I can relate athousand percent with the constant battle against stubborn Frizzy curls. I used to pay 450 every six months for the Japanese straightening method. So insane! For once our wild curls are beneficial and helpful! Pretty groovy ;pDread on lady, and don't hesitate to write on my wall if you have questionXxxxx
