Fluffy net-like roots & unwanted congos

Dread Maintenance

hahaha mine are weiiiird, the one on the right is normal, but the one on the left and in the middle are short and fat and like each other wayyy too much ;P plus with all the short hairs on my hairline it makes a fluff ball lol. sweet, i'll try to rub them apart and hopefully it will eventually come out haha thanks :)

Fluffy net-like roots & unwanted congos

Dread Maintenance

they seem to be dreading fast since i have to separate every day and i get zillions of loops.

i just pull them apart from each other in opposite directions, so it pulls the hairs out i guess, but some i cant separate completely because the hairs are too stuck together

Fluffy net-like roots & unwanted congos

Dread Maintenance

Hey everyone :) so i've been dreading for about 3 weeks now and i'm having issues with my roots. first it was just the back of my head, but now its everywhere. my baby dreadies are congoing like mad, so i separate every day but somehow some of them are already sucked into each other. 2 of them at the nape of my neck are becoming one dread already. i don't want this.. how can i get it out? do i need to redo them? or cut them apart even?.. i think the reason it's doing this is because i didn't do my roots tight enough to begin with. (i backcombed.) so there's tons of loose, fluffy hair at the roots. it's really net-like, it's pretty bad. i wouldn't mind it too much, but the reason it's driving me crazy is because it's uncomfortable, it feels like there's a net on my scalp. if i pull some dreads up high, most of my other dreads around them move with them, because they're so stuck together. i'm mainly afraid of my hair looking messy to the point where i can't everrr control it. will it sort itself out over time? or what should i do to fix it? thanks everyone! :) <3

Friends Finally Noticing

General Talk

Wow! that's crazy that people don't even notice. I've had mine for 16 days now and people (my friends & family) noticed the second they saw me. However i was at a new years party and had them up in a scrunchy (they don't even look like dreads at all when they're up or when i wear a hat) and i took my hair down and the 3 people that i barely knew didn't notice or realize i had dreads until my friend started asking about it. "Oh you have dreads? cool" ... it's weird because i don't get how people couldn't notice!
