twist and rips very effective easy and not damagingid ty this 1st though sea salt sprays 2 hours b4 u wash or rinse to get the hair dry and easy to knot and wool if u cant wear a wool tam or wrap at night put a wool sweatter over your pillowcase like a pillowcase the wool will helpif the sea salt and wool doesnt help enough then t&r and oh yea if your oily do the sea salt on hair only not scalp but them after u wash spray the scalp with thyme tea and leave it on

when you wete giing neglect were u using any conditioners any special shampoos etc and were u running your fingers thru even in your sleep is your hair oily at all//(whats your hair type racialy african type or more like caucasian?) your hair should drewad naturaly once adjusted but if not then twist and rips eay gentle non harmful and just uses fingers not comb to get em startedu should also be aware that blunting the ends is overrated unless they do it naturaly because the ends will hold in water loose tips draw it out like a wick so drying times between 1 dtread loose and blunted can vary 6-36 hours it makes it dry that much slower

welcome but you know if your rasta there is only 1 way to dread and backcomb and crochet is not itrastas dread according to a vow that says the comb and blade should never touch the hair of the head so backcombing goes directly against that vowfurthermore the highest spiritual experience dreading can provide you comes from going the natural rout and letting nature take its course
