the facing forward is stiffness caused by crochet! unfortunately the stiffness can take years to go away if you were crocheting a lot..in fact if you only crocheted once and they were tight the stiffness can last 3 years. but, lightly conditioning them with pre aloe (absolutely nothing but aloe in it) or jojoba or argon oils until they are significantly looser and softer will help speed recovery
okay, thank you for the information. i will definitely stop using my crochet hook .
Hey! That you have started your dreads by using the twist and rip method is pretty good, but please quit using the crochet hook. You are breaking lots of hair by crocheting and that severely weekens your hair and can cause dreads to fall off. No special maintenance is needed, just let them do its own thing, they will dread fine! Just wash once or twice a week and separate , that's all!
i have done my dreads with the rip and twist method and it has been about a 2 weeks maybe but my problem is that they are just facing forward and i don’t know how to fix it, anyone that know if it can be fixed and how?, or is it a lost cause?
