hi so i’m new to dreading and i have a question, so my dreads are about 2 weeks old and i made them using the rip and twist method, but my problem is that my dreads are all facing forward and i can’t get them to the side etc. so i was wondering if there was any possible ways to make them go to the side or if they are permanently facing forward because of how i twisted them. any suggestions would help, thanks

It will be because of how you pulled them forward to twist and rip. The best way is to pull them in the direction you want them to end up when you twist and ri0 so they stay that way.

It's OK though because it's just how close to your scalp the dreaded hair is which makes it tight in that one direction but as your hair grows in the next few weeks the new growth at the roots will be loose and allow them to flop in any direction.

I only did mine 3-4 weeks ago and they will actually blow in the wind now.

If you let them grow out a bit, your roots get loser and they fall in other directions easy.
