*UPDATE* almost 3 months and no knots

you'll wanna use smaller ones so they stick pretty close to the tips if possible but if they stick 1/2 way up thats fine too

how often should i be washing my hair? currently im washing it every other day. is that too often? if i wait an extra day then my scalp starts to itch and it drives me crazy plus i really like washing my hair:)

that's great that it's working out!Buuut I wash my hair every few days. I don't have a schedule, just whenever I feel like I have to.If it gets too itchy, I don't like scratching with my finger nails because I feel like I loosen the roots up a lot...so I just use a pencil. Looks weird in class when I've got my wool hat on and I'm sticking a pencil all around it though

lol! yah, i always worry people will think i have bugs if i'm itching my head i think going through this in the winter is hard too because of the dry conditions. thats why i still use the tea tree shampoo. i tried adding tea tree to my washes but our stupid water makes it impossible to rinse out completely.

look at the poll results and 1-3 months is average most of them have dreaded in 1-3 months sop since shes at 3 months shes just slightly behind average right now and very well could find her 1st dreads any time now
