So washing my hair entirely with cold water would be best then? I figured washing with hot would be better for getting the shampoo out, then at the end of the shower I do a cold only rinse of my head for a minute but if washing with cold is better I'll just do that. I only mention using a nightcap during the work season so that I don'tget a dirty pillow :P But as long as it's ok to get simply wet between washes then that won't be an issue.

That makes sense to me. I think I have it pretty clear now, I just need to get myself a Bronner's bar so I can se how that works as far as residue, and with tax refund get some dread shampoo from dreadlockshampoo.com. What kind of charcoal do I need for the deep cleanse? I assume it's something I'll need to order?
