Swimming with dreads

i was talking to my girlfriend today and i told her a way she could convince her dad so she can get dreads , then she told me she doesnt want dreads anymore. only because she is afraid her hair will fall out because she is a water polo player and she is on a swim team. i didnt know if it will and didnt know what to tell her so i need help from you guys.

tell her if she never "put in" theres nothing to "fall out"

but if all she ever did was swim theyd dread right up

water..swimming..washing..especialy salt water.. are the only thingds u ever really need to dread

i dont really know how but i will tell her natural would be the best

ive swam in water alot of times, pools, and oceans, and it hasnt effected my hair, actually the ocean helps my hair, and the chlorine has no effect what so ever on my hair...
