I want to dread my hair, dont know where to start

I've been thinking about dreading my hair now for some time. I almost purchased dreadhead hq kit but then i stumbled across this website and realized that was a bad idea. What do I need to do to start the dreading process?

throw away the comb and conditners wasah with a non residue non conditioning shampoo and wait

it will dread itself

optionaly use twist n rip..just use your hands they are the best tool there is for dreading

My hair is only about 3 inches. Should I start now?

u can but chances are it wont dread naturaly for several months a it grows u can tnr at 5 inches..maybe 4 u can neglect from bald and it will dread when its ready usualy 6 inches but sometimes as short as 3

I guess it would be cool to start now just to watch professions. Could I just wash with Dr.Bronners?

And how often should I was it.

as often as u need to but not every day so every 2-4 days is perfect at least weekly 2-3 times a weeks best
