it is but can be done safely if your not just frying your hair by that i mean use on a cooler setting and move itaround alot, do it inshort quick bursts over time instead of blowing nonstop for 20 minutesz do a minute here a minute there spread out over hours ..that is if blowing is the only option like in winter summer sun is the best faste4st way to dry
