Thought I'd revive the thread

First is before I got them (3years ago) I agreed with my mum I'd let her see me graduate with "normal" hair.

Then a week or two after I got them (backcombed), after 1 year and just before christmas

I tend to forget how far they stick out when up!

Most recent picture of myself with somewhat shaggy length hair pre-dreading, and one now that I've started (3 weeks old give or take a few days)

Is my side hair too short to dread??? any opinions on how much longer i should grow my hair out?

let it dread as it grows more 4 inch min id say for tnr 6 for natural which dont mean u cant start going natural now just problry wont see any till it grows some

i think you have enough hair to dread now man...

My side hair might be shorter than my back hair and probably the front hair a little too. Will that look funny down the road or?..

naw, it'll look like long dreads with some variation between every dread...

bad ass! there is a reggae festival tomorrow i'm going to and i will probably buy a kit there... Shadow do u think the dread kit is a bad idea if i don't use wax??? i have heard many good things but i'd like to see your take on it
