Kenty: @ femalepheromones, yea I like those a lot, they have a lot of character, I’m gonna look up again different dreading methods on this site, I was informed that backcomb was always a better option than twistnrip but I’m developing more knowledge as I go on thanks to this site. When my sections develop I’ll most likely twistnrip.

twist and rips way gentler then backcomb! and looks better from day 1

but the best method by far is to just let it dread itself

Totally agree SE, I’m hoping to let them go naturally all the way, then I need to be in for the long run!

@Bazooka-guru Cheers!

@Soaring-eagle I know what a difference a year makes. I'm still so glad I combed them out.

I used twist and rip and crochet method three days ago to make my dreads. I did some more research and now plan to never use the crochet hook again. I can start to update you.. here's day 2.. very tight >.<dread1.jpg

ps

crochet recovery happens alot quicker if u lightly condition with something like jojoba or argon or coconut oil or pure food grade aloe

id suggest the aloe or jojoba over coconut  just cause that thickens at room temps

the sooner they loosen the faster they recover
