twist and rip dreadlock newbie questions

hey i am thinking of starting my journey at the end of the month. i want to do Twist and rip considering i have straight Caucasian hair. the only thing is my hair length ranges from 4.5- 5.5 inches and pushing 6 at some points. will twist and rip work or should i go with another method like backcombing?

some other questions i have are how long should i wait till i do the first was of my hair?

should i start to dry out my hair before dreading it?

what are some products i should buy to help the process go smoothly?

no products other then a drewad freindly way to wash and maybe sea salt

stop combing and conditioning today

by the end of the month you probly will have natural dreads starting if not then tnr ..or dont and waut for natural dreads

tnr will work at 4-5 inches very well

natural will work well at 6..sometimes less

straight hair will dread fine naturaly

so start today
