I have posted items from the states to Australia and it really wasn't very much, mainly because the items I sent were light in weight... not sure what everyone will be planning on sending, but I also suggest that everyone obviously send the cheapest route possible... parcel post etc. Let me know if you definitely want me to take you out and I will cross you off, no worries 
Plus you can get standard shipping boxes that are pretty cheap, and you can fit as much or as little as you want in them
