let me rephrase thatdread wax should never be used on real dreads, use on actual dreadlocks may void the warranty and result in serious injury. dread wax is intended for use only in hair intended to be molded into cylindrical candles. if any actual dreading is allowed to occur the management cannot be held responsible for the resulting damage.every normal dreading activity including formation of knots loops lumps frizz and fuzz is detrimental to proper wax use

I may be a little late in on the conversation here, and it may have already been said, however..With JC's second experiment where he found 0.06g of wax was still left in the hair (he believed it to be still in the hair cuticle). He failed to mention that this amount was in just one dread, considering this would be taking place in EVERY dread on your head, you'd need to multiply this amount by the amount of dreads (Let's just say 100). This means that 6g of the wax has built up in your hair after one application. Through this, the dread can collect lint, cat hair etc... Adding more wax as 'maintenance' causes even more build up. I'm just saying...
