Hey I'm seeking advice, what would be the easiest way to start dreads for my hair, it's length is about down to my nipples and pretty straight with a wave, what other things do you need to know?I hardly know anything about dreads or dreading so any info is greatly appreciated!Thanks guys

Hi I'm new round these parts.
i think the most important thing to know is the way you want to do your dreads. in the group section they have some methods there. i mean i backcombed, alot of ppl here do the neglect mothod. ive heard there is a crochet method as well as the rip twist. so many options i would say do witchever fits u best. u came to the right site to get informed though.

Since your hair's pretty long, I'd say the backcombing method. Followed with the cleaning of a crochet hook. Make sure NOT to wax the dreads, at all. Don't crochet your dreads after two months, lettem' free form after that. I'm all for going natural, but since your hair's pretty long, it'd be safer, and quicker to go with the backcombing method.
