"doing" ROOTS "

A Question about Roots & Health:

On the one hand, as dreadlocks are getting longer, the roots are
weakened.

On the other hand, actually crocheting **strengthens** the roots and
prevents a complete rip of Rasta. Without doubt, a dilemma.

I'd love to hear how you - - S. E? e? Deal with elongation of roots and
hardships of Rasta, and how should I "do' my roots without any hook.

crocheting weakens not streengthens by rasta i think you mean congo?

i never do anythung to my roots at all never have never will thats why they are strong

elongated you mean a small gap of loose hairs? thats normal and healthy and lets them move and dread and so you can get a finger under them to scratch an itch

i seperated my by the ripping you meantioned for many many years now i let them conf=go but still seperate every so often when its really needed

i did no ripping for 4 years and got lots of congos then started ripping any that got too big

i have zero weakjness at the roots only weak spots are near the tips from being stepped on ort caught in car doors etc

just leave your roots alone do nothing but seperate f they try to ccombine

thats all

welcome Roni!

your roots need no extra treatment, just wash your hair 2-3 times a week.

If your hair grows your roots will dread without any help!

Jah bless!

Hi

We picked some aloe vera. The smell is terrible. Cannot use it.

It's the real thing, for sure.

That's funny because here in Quebec a lot of French speaking people call them like that too.

The best advice I can give you is just let go of the need to control them. Let them do their thing. It's hard at first but worth it. Justseparatethe ones youwantand that's it.
