Natural locks/twist & rip/backcoming/WTF

Introduce Yourself

Hey!

your hair is at perfect length right now where it really starts. What you can do is spray seasalt into

your hair 1 or 2 hours before washing. Another thing is that beanie. A beanie is usually to tight, means your hair cannot move under it and it has to move to knot.

Swich to a tam or leave your hair free! If you keep your hair clean and go on you will see results soon. I guess before your hair was a little to short to see much progress on the natural way!

Good luck!

Want to take out TnR/Crochet mess and start over with neglect. HELP

crochet and dread tools recovery

Well i like the messy 3rd pic of you and i think you look cute like that.

So i would stick to it and do nothing beside washing and separating.

My dreads and my itchy head

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

How long do you leave the bs in? If longer than 10 minutes, you should reduce the time.

If you sometime use seasalt, stop that. Do you blowdry?

That white residue is dead skin which didn't rinse out totally.

my wonderful and seems to be very long journy

Introduce Yourself

Hey Jason! Like SE said, quit the lemon juice, the rest seems ok to me.

I quit even the seasalt cause it dries out the scalp a little too much .

So if you continue spraying or soaking, don't do it too often.

Jah bless your journey!

Lemon juice, Sea salt and such...

Dread Maintenance

i used seasalt for a while but i noticed it dries my scalp so i quit again.

And by the way i didn't notice a much faster progress than without.

I only use seasalt when i go surfing :-)

the best advice i can give to you is to leave your hair alone. No palm rolling,

no maintainance, no touching ist best.

Just wash regularly and seperate once a while!

Strange grease?

General Questions

When using baking soda you have to rinse very well to get all the dead skin out.

It works best with a high water pressure. Dead skin feels greesy and looks kind of white.

Check the sink after your wash. In my sink there is always that white creemy greesy stuff after

the rinse.

Any over 30's dreadies?

General Talk

I turn 39 in July and I'm already pretty grey.My goal is to be completely matted when i turn 40!!!

But growing my hair without combing seems to hide my grey parts a little without dying ;-)

NAtural dreadlocks gettin kind of a downer

Dreadlocks Journey Emotional Support

Hey ADit!

Your hair is still very short to see a lot of progress. I guess you have to keep patience

an let it grow more. If your hair get to the 6 or 7 inch mark, you will def see some results.

Short hair isn't moving enought to create the knots to become a dread. Longer hair is more

moving, creating more knots and will look more like dreads!

So you doin' nothing wrong, all you have to do is wait a little while...

Jah bless!
