tight dreads to soft frizzy fluffy?

Quite a few dreads of mine have gone from tight to fluffy soft and frizzy like falling apart. Why? How do i get them tight again? Help! Any advice?

I havnt been doing anything different to them or using anything different on them. I sleep with a tam on at night too.

my guess is your starting to getr the wax out and realizing they werent very dreaded at all keep removing wax and when its all gone they'll dread up fast
