Hey guys and gals. So I am a wee bit past 2 months in, and some of my baby dreadies have splits in the roots. They are mostly split into two sections at the root. I was wondering about what my options are to do with these and what consequences they will have.

thanks a million

taylor

lets guess

u forced the sections into square uniform sections or otherwise decided where to section instead of alowing the hair to section itself?

thats what u got is the dreads wanting to be 2 seperate dreeads

they are young enopugh to take out let section and redo or u can split them where theyre trying to split

or

u can leave em hope they self corect

or u can wrap or bead em to force them to heal

but u might find the samre tendency in a few montghs

so maybe best to get them into 2 sdreads now

I would leave them to self correct... it worked well for me and since it's so early whatever knots you have are still loose enough to sort themselves out and get it really right. If it was 8-10 months I would say split them yourself, but at two... may as well let them do it exactly how they want to.
