Natural dread coming up

I've decided to dread the natural way, and I've been reading a lot on the Internet about it the last couple of weeks. Today it's been a week since I last combed my hair :)I've already got long hair, so I'm wondering if it'll be better to cut it somewhat, or is that irrelevant?I'm 33 years old and used to the grief I get from having long hair ;) and even more grief after I became a vegetarian last year :PI doubt comments will dissuade me.Anyway it'll be interesting to see how it all progress, and how long it'll take for dreads to properly form - I hope I wont quit :)
