Stuff that slows down the locking process

I though it would be a good idea for us to list all the things that slow down or prevent the process. Some things are obvious and others aren't.So please post all the things that slow down and prevent the locking process. So that people still growing their locs or just starting know what to avoid.

What about wearing a tam...is it possible to "over-wear" a tam (specifically baby dreadies)

think that'd be ok, you'd wanna make sure they are staying separated though if you wear it alot.*edit* oh and to contribute,,,: Kittens, they think your hair is a toy to play with at 4am -_-
