all these sites selling "dreadlock products" are selling expensive or harmful versions of things you can make at home

accelerators
best accelerator is sea salt in water.. 3 1/2 tblsp to 5 cups water
cost, pennies per gallon

wax and conditioner alternatives-- (note you never want to use wax in dreads dread wax is a scam and destroys dreads!)
aloe vera gel
from the plant, free
bought by the gallon (only buy 100% pure no other ingredients sold refridgerated in health food stores as a food supliment) a few bucks for a gallon

cleaning
no soap works as good as plain old baking soda in water
add 1/3-3/4 cup baking soda to a gallon of water pour over head and let soak (no scrubbing needed) 10-30 min then rince well

for dandruff add 10 drops teatree oil 20-30 drops rosemary oil
for itch add lil pepermint oil
for oiliness add thyme oil or thyme tea
for mold or mold prevention add lavander oil and/or thyme
oyange oil lemon or graopefruit oil might help remove a lil wax

conditioners
\apple cidar vinagar in water (couple capfulls)
or if molds a concern alot more white vnagar with lavander oil

u can add cocoa butter or shae butter (or use seperate)
other coditioners
aloe as mentioned above
vitamin e
jojoba oil (best)

any oils can be used in moderation for scent too

some teas can be used as a spray
thyme for oiliness
rosemary for dandruff

sea salt can be added to the baking soda
yucca can be used with aloe for a tightening gel (its uselfullness and that of any gells may be debatable and temporary, in general time takes care odf all even homeade produycs should vbe used as needed only and as little as possible except for to clean)
