so i might be going to the big house for a little while. i will not have access to my baking soda wash ingredients. what do i do? just not wash and deal with the itch? wash with the bar soap they provide and hope for the best? very nervious for doing time. but more nervious my dreads will start doing bad. please someone help. maybe even someone who has been in the same situation.

just wash with whats availible as long as u dont condition it wont do much harm just dont drop the soap

i live on the eastern shore of maryland and know quite a few people who have done time with dreads. they will not make me cut them. but i'm not real far into my dread journey. these guys were years and years into theirs. i guess i'll tough it out. i've weemed myself off washing for many years. for like the past 5 years ive washed my hair once a month. MAYBE. been train hopping and traveling the country for a long time. and my shit finally caught up with me. i made a decision to come home and got caught. now i goto court tomorrow. well as of 30 minutes ago its today. thank you all for your advice. after talking to my lawyer i'm hoping for rehab which will only be a few months. oh yea i violated probation with drug charges and fleeing. failures to appear and so on and so on. if i get rehab i hopefully will get to use my usual washing methods. if you don't hear from me for a long time you will know why. thank you all for your great advice and all your prior posts. i'll be back soon. hopefully sooner than later.eRic
just got outta court. i got 10 days. just weekends starting april 2nd. so i'm not worried about washing them. *huge sigh of relief. oh and i got another question. so while out and about with no internet access. my friend gave me dreads. me not knowing anything about them. and her claiming to, she backcombed them. and the ends kept falling out. so another friend told me you could crochet the ends so i did that. now getting into this technology thing. and the internet i found you lovely people. they are very knotted so its not like i can comb them out. and there is no way i'm shaving my head. so should i leave them the way they are and let the roots grow out and dread naturally and then cut the goofy looking ends? i'll try and figure out how to upload some pics.
Leave and let nature run it's course.
