hey Jade! Unfortunately the answer is yes, the military would not "allow" you to keep your locks.
Welcome. Wax is the second worse thing that can be done to locks. It does nothing but hurts them. You're not alone. Have you do wax removal sessions? It's a hydrocarbon and will NEVER wash out in normal soap and water. You need a detergent and lots of scrubbing multiple times a week for at least a month to get rid of it. Sounds like you're on the right track now
welcome everyone (almost) that tried wax had bad experiences its amazing they still get away with that crap but in the double drop down menu (the wiggling 1) the left side verry bottom is a reviews page add your waxy review
Welcome and Happy Dreading.
Always, Hippie Love
Right now it doesn't make much of a difference because you are only a few weeks in, but you should never go to sleep with wet dreads. It encourages mold and mildew. Which smells terrible, but can also cause dread rot. So as your dreads start thickening up....keep in mind that dreads should not be pulled up when wet, no hats when wet and don't sleep with them wet. Just some words of wisdom so that you don't have to go through it Have a beautiful day.
