nice I'm glad to hear it, don't forget to take lots of pics and show us your progress
ok. thanks a lot man. i started yesterday and there already separating.
you can choose to rub but you won't need to, I stopped after about two weeks and I no longer towel rub bcuz I want thicker locs so I didnt want em to be more separated than they already are.
but if you want more thinner defined locs you can keep rubbing only less often and more gently than you used to (maybe twice a week oppose to everyday)
oh ok, thanks man!....so how long do you do the towel rub? i mean like once its sectioned off pretty good. should i keep up the rubbing?
you take a small dark-colored towel and you rub all over top, sides and backof your head for about 15 minutes, it'll cause your hair to form small balls all over. Rub once a day or twice max (once in the morning and once at night if needed) you're gonna need a shower cap bcuz you can't expose your hair to water until you wash it, and try to wash at least in 2 weeks intervals or more (I do it in 3 weeks intervals bcuz my hair has no excess or products in it so its very clean and I don't have to wash as often) after washing jus wait for hair to dry and rub again with towel if your hair texture is somehow like mine it should start separating within a couple weeks of towel rub
here are pics of the stages
1st pic is 3 days later
2nd pic is 10 days later
3rd pic is 51 days later (1 month and 21 days)
yeah my hair is about that long. waiting for it to do this lol. so like what exactly do you do with the towel rub method?
thanks to the both of you and @ Stonee I've used the towel rub method for the first week and a half just to section my hair better but I've just pretty much been waiting n watching ever since, its going great and I highly recommend it
Looking good! Keep up the great work and enjoy the ride.
