I put in dry shampoo and then rinse it out it was the only shampoo I could find that was sulfur free and natural on short notice

Welcome. Locks need to get wet in order to make sure they get clean. Getting locks wet helps them lock up faster, too

welcome but dry shampoo is silly getting them wet..washinmg them helps them dread dry shampoo does nothing it doesnt help them dread and doesnt really get u clean it just asbsorbs oils thats all

Welcome. Hopefully you didn't palm roll much or often. If you only did it once in a while, it didn't help your locks at all. palm rolling doesn't create any lasting knots. If you did it a lot or aggressively, it can severely destroy your roots
