I did my dreads all by myself. 90% of the people i know (with beautiful dreads) did their locks by themselves. Wax will ruin your dreads. You can make your own locking spray with a spray bottle a spoonful of sea salt and tap water. The shampoo isn't so bad, but you can get better, a whole lot cheaper. That kit was a waste of your hard earned money. This site is dedicated to beautiful dreads that are product free. It started because of all the bad information out there. and i hate to say it but the bad information is what you believe to be true. We want you to have healthy beautiful dreads. Stick around and read the dreaducation section. Research the forums. You will learn a lot about how to have real dreads, if that is what you want.
