Help! Save My Dreads

Thanks Mons, that made me smile. And I'm trying not to let it bother me, but I'm not the best at that. And Kelly, I have the karma! It smells wonderful, but I guess I don't know how to use it, cause whenever I do it just makes my hair feel like I put hair gel in it. Is that what it's supposed to do? Cause I would think that would hinder dreading rather than help, it's kinda why I only use it when I want my hair to look less fly away and frizzy.

Help! Save My Dreads

I do continously push my too long but not long enough bangs out of my face all day at work. So that could potentially be where the not dreading part could be happening. Though i wasnt planning on having the bangs dreaded. And It's just hard to get the image out of my head of what I was expecting. Especially when my friends and coworkers constantly tell me they look weird. Especially from the lady who does have dreads. Her dreads are salon dreads though, and I try to tell myself that's why hers are the way they are and why mine are the way they are, that and she has African hair, and I do not so it will be different. I know I need to be patient, but I'm worried they are going to be stringy ball fubar dreads forever, and if that's the case I'm not happy. >.< But I'll keep waiting. Idk how to keep from fixing my bangs though, they are still too short to stay behind my ear.

Help! Save My Dreads

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos They are just so thin and wimpy looking. With these weird ball heads. I've actually had quite a few people ask me what I did wrong. I can handle the messiness, but it's starting to seem like I did do something incorrectly. Some "dreads" are so thin they are no more than 8 hairs with a ball at the end.

Help! Save My Dreads

Well, I've been at this for just about a year (1 year in 2 more days) and I'm very disappointed in thee way my hair looks. The top is all loose hair, that won't even section. The dreads themselves are way thin in the body and nearly all have flat bulbous ends that frankly remind me of sperm. I've done neglect, other than the tnr at first that fell out 100%. Basically is there anything I can do. I know I should just let it go, but I can't I dislike all the stringy half formed ball end wired looking dreads that are forming. If there's nothing I can do, I think I'll be forced to brush out and try back combing to get a better shape, which I really don't want to do. Ill post pics if I can once I get home.

Help my Santa hat gave me grays!

General Questions

I tried the tea, it didn't do much of nothing, I think cause it's like plastic or something and didn't absorb the color. And yeah I gave the hat away and crocheted myself cotton one that doesn't fuzz.

Help my Santa hat gave me grays!

General Questions

So I wore my Santa hat with fuzzy fake fur trim a few days for work. Now a few days later I'm noticing some of my dreads are looking gray. And I've picked as much of this fuzzy fur out without damaging my dreads but there is still a LOT in it. What can I do?

Lock Magic on wet or dry hair?

Dread Products

I love it. I use it dry mostly. It makes my hair less frizzy and keep its shape better. I also use it on wet hair when I'm looking for that gelled sleek look on my non locked bits if hair.

Which DreadlockShampoo bar?

Dread Products

I have the goddess, tea tree and nag champs ars, as well as the sample of dragons blood. The liquid is much better for fresh locks, and I have dandruff as well, it works well and doesn't leave me anymore flakey then when I used head & shoulders. The tea tree is very good for dandruff, and if used regularly after a bs wash I don't get flakes at all(I also wash my face with this one here lately, seems the only thing that will clear up my skin). The nag champa smells amazing, as does the goddess bar, but both leave my hair more soft and conditioned Han the others. So I use which seems to be what my head/scalp are needing. Itchier days tea tree, dryer days goddess and all that in between. Personally I've come to be known as the incense girl cause I more often than not use the nag champa cause I'm addicted to the smell! Anyway hope any of that Rambling helped.

Baby dread question!

General Questions

Ok so I have this dread baby that looks like this: Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos And from halfway up its dreading how u would expect, but as you see it's fanned itself out and is now dreading fanned. Last time this happened I got this: Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos So my question is, will this eventually become less fanned ball wierd and more like this one did? Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos Cause that one wasn't nearly as drastic as the others, or should I bead it and hope for the best?
